Male Performer at Carnaval in Barranquilla Colombia

Performer during the first day of Carnaval de Barranquilla also known as Batalla de Flores. It is where the all the major business become sponsors to put on a grand show of a parade. It happens every year the weekend before Ash Wednesday. It is parades, parties int he streets and performances.

The sun was shining hard behind me. The subject came dancing but as he saw a friend in the crowd it was important to capture that expression. The shadows were hard due to the high sun. The only thing to do here was to use a flash that did not fire unfortunately. Minor editing of color and details through Aperture 3.6.1 including removing glare using the clone tool to clone small layers of flesh tone to the glares.
