The Eerie Forest of Chicaque Park - Colombia

Chicaque Park, also known as the cloud forest, sits outside of Soacha, just which is the city just adjacent to the southern end of Bogota, Colombia. Chicaque Park is a privately owned nature park that is known for it’s misty clouds. As you walk through the forest the most moves through like a living creature, engulfing everything around. It at times can create a wonderful heavenly like feel, or a creepy eerie feel like in this picture.

This photo was hard to take due to a combo of light and darkness. I had to worry not to underexpose, but too long of an exposure would cause over exposure from the mist and cloud. The composition was to focus on the disappearing trail that ends in the mist. The colors naturally popped out and were slightly enhance with Aperture.
